Booking Terms & Conditions

 Please note that all bookings at Niku are subject to the following terms & conditions:

🌴 Families are welcome in our restaurant & garden everyday. Under 18 can dine with us until 6:30pm on Fridays & Saturdays

🌴 We allow a strictly enforced courtesy wait time of 15 minutes from the time of your reservation before your table is released 

🌴Please note if you make multiple bookings for big groups, we can refuse entry 

🌴 If your party decreases in size, we ask for at least 48hrs notice. If not received your original minimum spend will still apply 

🌴 The Cancellation Window Deadline differs by booking type as listed below:

  • Table for Restaurant – up to 24 hours prior to Event

  • Table for Drinks – up to 24 hours prior to Event

  • Bottomless Brunch – up to 24 hours prior to Event

  • Masterclass, Christmas, Corporate and bookings of over 13 guests* (*excludes Bottomless Brunch) – 7 days prior to Event

  • Full venue Hire – 14 days’ notice

A cancellation after the Cancellation Window stated above, or if you do not show for your booking, will result in your deposit being forfeited or your card being charged Β£10 per guest.

 

🌴 Last orders for our Kitchen are per the times outline below:

8:30pm on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 

9:30pm on Friday & Saturday

Please note for lunch and bottomless brunches our Bar & Kitchen closes from 4:00pm and re-opens at 5:00pm 

🌴 Voucher bookings for experiences are subject to a maximum of three date changes. Vouchers will be invalidated if more than three date changes are requested. 

🌴 Guests must be over the age of 21 on Friday & Saturday Evenings in our Lounge

🌴 All guests require a valid form of ID (passport/driving license). We reserve the right to refuse entry and/or service if a valid ID is unable to be provided. 

🌴 We operate a strict β€œChallenge 25” policy. If you appear to be under 25 you may be asked for identification

🌴 Niku operates a smart/casual dress code

🌴 Entry is always at the discretion of the door supervisors & we request that guests do not arrive intoxicated

🌴 Please note that a discretionary 12.5% service charge is added to your bill on both our table and bar service

🌴 All ticket purchases will be subject to a booking fee & tickets are non-refundable

🌴 Experience bookings are subject to a minimum number of seats booked, and all experiences, deposits, pre-orders and package pre-payments are non-refundable 

🌴 Niku reserves the right to move or cancel reservations

 

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Additional Controls

Niku is focused on ensuring the safety of our staff and guests. We are continuing to operate a COVID safe environment, as follows: 

🌴 Upon arrival at Niku and during any movement within the venue, guests are recommended to wear a face mask

🌴 Staff will avoid close contact with guests with table serve performed at a distance where possible

🌴 Where possible 2 metre social distancing is still observed, otherwise, at 1m we have the mitigating controls included on this page in place

🌴 Hand sanitiser is available upon arrival at the venue for both staff and guests 

🌴 You may have to wait a few minutes for us to ready your table as we will be performing extra hygiene cleaning in between bookings 

🌴 Regular hand washing is in place for all staff members and encouraged for our guests

🌴 Gloves are worn when cleaning high risk zones

🌴 Our toilets are checked and cleaned every 30 minutes

🌴 Our staff have all undertaken COVID-19 training

 

 

Customer Safety

At Niku bar, the safety and security of our staff and customers is paramount. Niku operate a minimum 21 policy for Friday & Saturday evenings. Please be prepared to prove your age with valid and current identification. This can be either a UK driving licence, passport, or PASS identification card bearing the PASS hologram. Some bars may We operate a check 25 policy. In conjunction with local authority guidance, we operate an ID seizure policy whereby false ID will be confiscated and handed over to the police. Niku bar support the responsible consumption of alcohol and reserve the right to refuse service to customers who are, or appear to be, intoxicated. Tap water is freely available in all our bars upon request. A random search policy of all customers may be implemented depending on prevailing conditions, risk assessment or police advice. Niku Bar operate a zero-tolerance policy on drugs. Customers suspected of dealing or using drugs will be asked to leave the premises immediately. Customers are advised that Niku Bar work continually with local authorities to ensure the Niku venue are fully compliant on all aspects of health and safety and crime and disorder. CCTV is in operation at Niku Bar.

 

Conditions of Entry

Niku Management reserve the right to refuse admission. For under 21s on Friday & Saturday in our Lounge, not complying with our smart casual dress code, turning up to the venue intoxicated

 

Allergen Information

Allergies? Our food is prepared in our busy kitchens (not a big factory with segregated production lines) so we really can’t guarantee any of our food is allergen-free. If you require further information on ingredients which may cause allergy or intolerance, please speak to your server before you order. If you do have an allergy, you should inform your server so we can minimise the risk of cross-contamination during the preparation and service of your food and or drink.

 

How can I book with you? 

You can enquire about booking with us by email, by phone, or through our website, or any of our social channels.

Your enquiry becomes a confirmed booking when your payment card details have been accepted and/or you have paid the deposit that the booking may require.

Do you take a deposit when I book?

 

We ask for a card authentication of Β£10 per guest to secure your booking for:

Β·      Lunch

Β·      Dinner

Β·      Lounge

Β·      Drinks

 

If you book any of the following:

  • Masterclass

  • Bottomless Brunch

 

We ask for the whole payment to be made 48 hours following your enquiry to confirm your booking.

If you fail to pay your deposit within 48 hours then your Provisional Booking will be cancelled and removed from our booking system.

 

 

What is your cancellation policy?

You may cancel your booking at any time within the Cancellation Window via our booking management platform or by contacting the bar directly. The Cancellation Window Deadline differs by booking type as listed below:

How do I amend or cancel my booking? 

You can amend or cancel your booking at any time via our online booking platform or call the bar directly – 020 8399 9980

 

 

 

 

How long do I have my table for?

Your table or reserved area will be allocated for a maximum of 1hr and 45mins unless stated otherwise in your Booking Confirmation Email. If you wish to extend your booking for a longer period, please contact us.

We will hold your table or reserved area for 15 minutes after your booking arrival time, at which point we reserve the right to clear the table or reserved area for other guests and you will forfeit your table or reserved area. If you are running late, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If you do not show for your booking, you will forfeit your deposit, or your card will be charged Β£10 per guest.

 

How long will it take a booking refund to show? 

We can only process refunds using the original method of payment. If you paid by card online, then refunds take 4-7 working days to process.

Other important stuff you need to know

Management reserves the right to refuse entry; a booking does not guarantee entry.

We operate an over 21s policy in our bars and ensure you bring your photo ID (passport or driving license).

 

Payment

Payments can be made in venue or for corporates via BACS. BACS payments must be received a minimum of 14 days in advance of your Event date.

Big Group Bookings – we unfortunately limit the number of cards on big group bookings which is a limit to 3 cards for a group booking of 9+. 

Sometimes we may have to make reasonable changes to your booking. We will contact you as far in advance as we can to let you know. Reasons for changes may include:  

 

  • Changes in legislation that require us to change our operating procedures

  • Our food or drinks menus have been updated and your pre-ordered menu selections are no longer available

  • The products you have pre ordered are unavailable or out of stock with our suppliers – we will always do our best to find a suitable alternative for you

If you want to change your package, then we will inform you of any price changes that may have taken place since your booking was confirmed. We will honour prices of packages included on your booking at time of confirmation but if you are looking to make additions to your package, those items will be subject to the latest prices.

Bottomless Brunch Experience 

*   Bottomless Brunch Experience include a brunch dish per person and 120 minutes of bottomless drinks from the brunch menu only
*   Bottomless brunch operates only on Saturday & Sundays from 2-4pm & full payment made before the booking  
*   Please note, you may be asked to pre-order your food in advance to your visit.
*   It is your responsibility to provide allergies or dietary requirements to your chosen venue. 
*   Brunch food and drinks menus are subject to change. Please ask for the most up to date menu when booking in your visit with your chosen venue.
*   3-day cancellation policy applies
*   Alcohol is only available to those aged 18 years and over.
*   Bottomless Brunch Experience are not proof of age and valid ID may be required.
*   Management reserves the right to refuse service or entry.
*   Niku reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. Niku may also create rules which will apply to a specific offer only.
*   These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.

Your drink must be finished before ordering your next from the selection. The whole table must be taking part in the offer.
*   Local government Covid-19 restrictions apply and our venues’ opening dates and times may vary due to this; Please check the website page for up-to-date information.

 

 

Happy Hour

Happy Hour is only available on our set time which are: 

Sunday – Tuesday – 5-8pm

Friday & Saturday – 5 – 7pm 

Niku accept no responsibility for discounting cocktails that were ordered outside of these terms or outside of the times/days detailed. You must check before confirming your order that the items are discounted accordingly, as refunds for items ordered in error or outside of these terms will not be given.

You must be aged 18 years or older to purchase alcohol and valid ID may be required. You will not receive a refund if you make a purchase and are unable to provide valid ID. Niku reminds you to drink responsibly.

 

Social Media Competitions

Entrants must be 18 years of age or over for any competition run on the social media channels.

Winners must satisfy the conditions outlined in the competition post, and enter via the mechanics detailed, within the stipulated time frame

Competitions and prizes may not be available at every bar or may change dependent on bar location. Please check the social media competition post for details.

Prizes cannot be redeemed in conjunction with any other offer.

Niku reserves the right to refuse service or change the prize at any time and reminds all customers to please drink responsibly.

 

Order at Table / Refunds / Cancellation

You must be aged 18 years or over to purchase alcohol in the UK. You will be refused service if you are unable to produce appropriate photo identification if requested and no refund will be issued.

It is not possible to amend or cancel orders once they are placed. If you have any problem with your order or payment, please contact a member of staff for assistance.

All products and offers are subject to availability. We may offer alternative products or a refund where appropriate at our discretion.

We maintain sole discretion to refuse service to any individual in the pursuit of safety or adhering to local licencing objectives. In the event service is refused offering a refund will be at our discretion.

While every effort is made to ensure that accurate pricing and descriptions are maintained, we reserve the right to cancel and refund any order that is based on inaccurate information.

Refunds may take between 3 and 10 working days depending on your bank.

These terms do not affect your legal rights as a consumer to cancel certain contracts under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Parking Policy 

Niku does not have any private parking. Our best advice is to park on the main road. Please do not use the driveway on the right as it is private property and does not belong to Niku. We also ask that you do not abstract any of our neighbour’s access to their properties 

Residential Area 

We kindly ask that all our customers respect our neighbours and ensure when leaving the venue that no disturbance occurs 

Cloakroom Policy 

Please keep the ticket given as we will not be able to give any items back without a ticket. Niku does not accept liability for any items lost or damaged in the cloakroom, and all items are kept at the owner’s risk.

Lost Property Policy 

We do not accept any liability for any property left behind, we try to keep everything in our lost property box, and we ask that you collect it immediately as we will not be able to guarantee or accept any liability for items left at our venue in this respect. 

Banned Policy 

We take the safety of our customers and staff very seriously & will ban anyone who:

 

-      Takes any illegal substances in the venue 

-      Violence towards anyone 

-      Leaves without payment

-      Any form of discrimination towards staff or customers

Venue Hires

Niku reserves the rights to cancel any venue hires prior to the booking & will refund the full deposit amount of Β£500. Our team will always try our best to accommodate another Date for your party or aim to try and find a venue close by that we always work with.

All other information is inclosed on the booking form at time of booking.

Our venue hire is 21+ on Fridays & Saturdays, we allow under 21s Sunday to Thursdays. Please note Niku & security have the right to refuse entry for under 21s on Fridays & Saturdays.
